A STRONG field of 17 crews have made the final official entry list for the 2011 Zambia International Rally that will be flagged off tomorrow at InterContinental Hotel in Lusaka.

Seven of the 17 are foreign crews from Zimbabwe and Rwanda who will be jostling for honours with 10 locals in this 585.49km rally that features the third round of the FIA African Rally Championship (ARC).

The rally, which also counts as the second round of both the Zambia Rally Championship and Zim-Zam Challenge, will run on the Lusaka Motor Club (LCM) circuit tomorrow, Chisamba and Silverest in Lusaka on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Leading the pack is former Citroen Total Junior Team Zimbabwean driver Conrad Rautenbach driving a G-Fuel Ford Fiesta S2000 and defending champion Muna Singh of Zambia in a Madison Subaru Impreza N10 both doing the ARC.

Also doing the ARC is 21-year-old Zambian Mohammed Essa driving a sister Madison Subaru N11, reigning champion Jamie Whyte from Zimbabwe (Jialing Subaru N10), counterman Craig Green (Mitsubishi Evo 8) and Rwandese Davite Giancarlo (Subaru N10). (c)ZMSA
